Southampton Mission Day

Getting here

Travel

Southampton is approximately 75 miles from London and is well served by road, train, sea and airport links.

By Road

From the North, London and the Home Counties, the M3, M27 and A34 provide fast, direct road links into the city centre. The A36 is the major route from the West Country, Bristol and Wales. From the East, follow the A27/M27 and leave at Junction 3.

There is a National Express coach station: https://www.nationalexpress.com/en

By Rail

Southampton Central station has regular direct trains from London Victoria and London Waterloo and the journey time is roughly 1 hour 15 minutes for the fast service. NEWS JUST IN: Apparently there may be travel disruption if you're coming in by train, with replacement bus services between Eastliegh and Southampton Central.

The station is about twenty minutes walk or bus to the registration point.

By Air

Southampton International Airport is on the outskirts of Eastleigh, around 20 mins from the City Centre by car and is also served by buses to the City. Alternatively it is next to Southampton Airport Parkway railway station with regular trains to Southampton Central taking less than 10 minutes.

Parking

There's no official Park and Ride in Southampton, but there is a good amount of parking in the City Centre and outside
